Top 10 Ways to Make Money with Your List

Top 10 Ways to Make Money with Your List

  (recommended by Matt Lloyd)

Have you built up a list of subscribers, but none of them are buying from you?

If you have a list and you’re not making money from those people, you need to be doing a different strategy…

Here are the Top-10 ways to start making money with your list right now…

1. It’s not just the size of the list.  It’s the relationship you have with the list, which really pays you.

Most online marketers think by merely building a list it’s going to get them paid. Building a list is only the first step—but it’s not what really pays you.

In fact, I know people who have a list of 10,000 leads but they still can’t make a dollar online, or still aren’t getting regular commissions.

The size of the list is a factor, but the relationship is what’s infinitely more important.

The relationship is incredibly important if you ever want to sell something to anybody. Then once you build a rapport with your prospect, the next step is to get those people to respond.

2. Market to the right people.

This might sound obvious, but you could be reaching out to the wrong people—and this is actually pretty common among online marketers…

If you’re promoting some product or solution and that’s what you advertise, then you’re lead capture page should match that product.

For example, my lead capture page promises I’ll send you daily videos where I answer your questions about marketing. But what if you signed up, and then I started sending you emails about gardening?

Would you want to buy my videos about marketing? Absolutely not, because what I offered, what I presented on their entry point into my sales funnel was completely different to what I’m actually offering.

3. Frequency of your messages.

Another reason why you might not yet be making money from your list is you’re NOT contacting them frequently enough.

You should be reaching out to your list, in my personal view, almost daily. Some people might think that’s too much. But your average prospect spends less than 5 seconds a day thinking about you or your business, so it’s not too much at all.

If they are receiving your content / stories / offers daily, and it’s too much for a prospect, they’re probably not the right prospect for you.

Plus, if someone is in the Internet marketing niche, they are probably checking their email several times a day. You should aim to send daily emails—every single day.

4. Consistency is key.

Consistency is just as important as frequency…

How often do you email them? Is it every day, or two days, or three days?

And how often are you staying in front of your prospect? This is what consistency is all about

For example, if you email them every day for a week, and then they don’t hear from you for a month, guess what? That list is pretty much dying out.

That’s not going to last for that long, and I see this happen all the time.

5. Don’t be forgotten (especially in the first few weeks).

New leads have very short-term memories

Many Online Marketers get excited when they’re building their brand new list. But when they start emailing their new contacts, they don’t notice immediate results, and they put everything on hold.

Then six months later, they come back to it and they start sending emails again, but now they’re not getting any response. They are not getting any opens, they’re not getting any clicks, and they wonder why…

If someone subscribes to your list and they get a few emails from you, then you don’t email them for a week, they’ve probably already forgotten you. You should always be conscious of this, and keep in touch with them from the beginning.

6. Get “Paranoid” about the constant threat of the declining value of your list.

You’re list is a very unique asset. Here’s a big tip I learned from Dan Kennedy…

It’s important to keep a healthy degree of paranoia about your email list. You’re list is very valuable, but not like gold or real estate, because those are static things and their value stays the same over time.

On the other hand, you’re list is actually an organic asset—which means you’re list is perishable and it can expire. Your list is either improving in value or it is decaying.

You must actively take steps and actions to improve the responsiveness of your list and improve that relationship with your list—or it will die out. And if it’s neglected too much, it will die out completely.

7. Survey your list (i.e. ask them what they want from you!)

Now, you might then ask, “Well, how do I know what they want?” And the answer is very simple—YOU SHOULD ASK THEM.

The best thing you can do is to do a quick survey. You can go to a site like SurveyMonkey.com, there are lots of sites like this that allow you to conduct surveys. These sites allow you to do a free survey where you can ask them a bunch of questions. You send your new survey out to your list.

Ask what they actually want to learn. Ask them what they actually want to buy—and why they felt compelled to give you their email address.

You’ll quickly discover why they originally joined your list, and then you can branch out with more questions about that topic to see what they actually want to learn.

8. Make offers to your list (this is the whole point in having a list!)

You’re Here To Run A Profitable Business, And You Must Never Be Afraid To Make Offers And Ask For The Sale!)

Be relentless in promoting offers.

You should promote an offer in just about every single email you do. Now, that doesn’t mean you’re just saying buy this, buy this, buy this, because you will burn out your list very quickly.

You still want to be interesting, you still want to be engaging, you still want to educate them, but you have to be making an offer in just about every single email. You will notice in my marketing I’m always making an offer. Sometimes it’s a very obvious offer, and sometimes it’s very subtle.

For example, every few videos I might promote one of my products or services, or live event, and somewhere below this video right now there should be a banner ad for one of my products.

So even though that’s a very subtle offer, I’m always putting some kind of offer in front of my market, my list. So you want to make sure that you are doing that.

9. Copywriting skills: Never stop improving them.

You should really work at improving your copy writing skills—it’s a very important skill to master. Copy is the ultimate leverage point.

The ability to put words on a page and influence the masses to do what you want, is one of the most powerful and profitable skills you can posses. Some people pick it up really quickly, and others can take years to get good at it.  But it’s something worth studying and practicing.

When you are writing an email, make sure to encourage responsiveness. Send them an occasional email where you say, “If you have any questions about this get back to me.”

Ask them actually reply to the email or contact you on Facebook. That way, you are actually responding to them after they raised their hand and submitted their email to you.

It might sound surprising, but responding and following up with prospects is VERY RARE in this Industry. So the moment you respond to them, you suddenly become a real person in their eyes. They feel a little connection with you. They become more responsive as leads and as buyers. So keep on writing to them.

10. Make offers to different marketing channels (that you introduce through your emails)

Again, your success in marketing is all about making offers…

Use different channels. So sometimes you might do a webinar, bring them to a webinar, teach them something on a webinar, make an offer at the end.

Another channel: Bring them to a Facebook group you have, engage them on Facebook, and make an offer there as well. So have these different channels, and again just be relentless in marketing to them.

You should develop several main marketing channels over time, and again just be relentless in marketing and following up. It’s what separates the people in this game who can extra $2 of value out of every $1 click they buy, from the majority who can’t even get $0.20 out of the same traffic.

It’s all about persistence in the follow up. Always be putting an offer in front of them or some piece of content so that you’re relevant, you’re in their life, and when they’re ready to buy, you’re right there in front of them.

So there you go. I hope these top-10 ways to start making money with your list right now… actually help you make more money with your list.

Vick Strizheus: Who Is He?

Vick Strizheus is a familiar name in the online marketing community. He’s responsible for online marketing programs like “The Big Idea Mastermind” and “The High Traffic Academy.”

These two programs – and others – are designed to teach people how to make a lot of money on the internet.

Also known as Vitaly Strizheus, Vick is originally from Ukraine, although he has lived in America for the past two decades. He calls himself the “king of online traffic” and currently lives in South Dakota with his wife and four kids.

Despite being only 28 years old, Vick has achieved considerable success online. After many failed business ventures early in his career, he’s now been able to earn complete financial freedom, taking pricey vacations in the Caribbean and buying luxurious condos in Florida.

How does Vick make all his money online? Should you sign up for his training programs and start living the life you’ve always dreamed of? Here’s what you need to know about online traffic expert Vick Strizheus.

Now he founded 4 percent Group (this is one of the best training today where you create multiple income streams while you are still learning) – check here

How Did Vick Strizheus Get His Start?

Vick Strizheus explains his life story on his official website. He says he got married at the age of 20 to the most beautiful woman in the world, only to realize that he wasn’t able to provide her with the lifestyle she deserved.

Vick set out to learn how to make money online. He started his online marketing venture in 2005 and “failed miserably for the first year.” He actually didn’t have any startup capital, so he decided to borrow $30,000 to get started.

Unfortunately, he spent $20,000 of that borrowed money on advertisements which “promised the moon” but did not generate a single dollar of income. After realizing what he was doing wasn’t working, Vick took a different approach.

Vick hired a mentor. He paid $500 per hour to learn from that mentor and says it was worth every penny. Within just 90 days of meeting with that mentor, Vick’s income grow to $20,000 per month. Before long, Vick claims he was making 7 figures per year.

So Who Exactly Is Vick Strizheus?

Ultimately, Vick Strizheus is a Ukrainian-born father of six living in South Dakota with his wife. Normally, that wouldn’t make anyone famous online.

But Vick Strizheus is famous online due to his success in several major online marketing ventures, including High Traffic Academy, Big Idea Mastermind, and the Empower Network.

Today, he works as a leader within the industry, guiding other people on how to achieve success on the internet. He is one of the internet’s most influential minds when it comes to traffic generation and product launches.

A lot of that wisdom is available on Vick’s official website for free. Sure, you can pay Vick $5,000 per hour for one-on-one coaching, but I strongly recommend reading the materials Vick Strizheus has posted online first before you dive into the deep end.

Affiliate Marketing: The Most Complete Guide Ever

Let’s talk about that holy grail of bloggers everywhere —

Making money while you sleep.

This is how you imagine it’ll work…

You’ll launch a blog, get some readers, and sell them stuff.

People will snatch up your cool offers, and before you know it you’ll be retiring to an island retreat somewhere.

Because that’s how blogging works, right? Well, maybe.

But if you’ve ever tried to monetize your blog, you’ll know it can be more difficult than you expected.

It takes time to build an audience, discover what they want and then create products they’ll crave.

Even then, you can invest time and money to create something amazing, and launch what you think is a sure thing — only to have it flop. Not pretty.

But the thing is, once you have the beginnings of an audience, every day that goes by that you’re not offering something for sale that will make their lives better is a missed opportunity.

It’s not benefiting them, and it’s not putting money in your pocket, either.

Fortunately there’s a solution:

Affiliate marketing.

It’s one of the most effective ways to help your readers and start monetizing your blog at the same time.

And it’s an engine that can power your blog’s earnings for years to come.

Ready to find out more?

So What Is “Affiliate Marketing,” Anyway?

As you’ll know by now, bloggers make money by building an audience that trusts them, and then offering products or services that will genuinely help that audience.

Affiliate marketing is really just a quicker way to offer products and services without creating them yourself.

In practice, it’s a modern interpretation of a very old idea — getting a commission on a sale. You introduce your readers to products or services from trusted companies or individuals and get a commission on any sales to customers you send their way.

For bloggers, that means you find a product or service that you like, promote it to your readers, and earn part of the profit on each sale that you make.

Simple idea, right?

Let’s see an example.

Blogger Gardening Jones is upfront about how she has partnered with several companies as an affiliate. She lets her readers know that if they purchase any of the products she recommends using her links, she’ll make a little money from the sale. And you….

Monetize your blog.

Then, throughout her site, you see links like this:

affiliate links

These particular graphics look like ads, but they aren’t.

They’re affiliate links.

Average readers might not be aware of the difference, but as a savvy blogger, you should be.

You see, when you put ads on your site, you get paid when someone clicks on them, whether your visitors end up buying or not. The advertiser is essentially renting space on your blog, like they’d rent a billboard along a highway.

But the problem is that you usually earn only fractions of pennies for clicks. You have to have an incredibly high-traffic site to see any real income at all from advertising.

On the other hand, when you’re an affiliate, you only get paid when someone clicks the link and actually purchases.

However, commissions on the sales that you refer are usually much higher.

It’s a slight difference, but one that can make a big impact on your income.

In addition to graphical links and banners, text links can also be slipped into blog posts, often followed by an indicator that it is an affiliate sale — like this:

Join the Seeds of the Month Club here (affiliate link)

You’ve probably seen both types of affiliate links. Bloggers can include links in emails, sales pages, and much more as well. We’ll get into all the possibilities in this post.

For now, though, it’s important that you know exactly what affiliate marketing means — as well as its potential for you as a blogger.

Why Affiliate Marketing Rocks for Bloggers

At Smart Blogger, we’re big fans of selling affiliate products and services.

Here are three compelling reasons why we think you should look into it, too:

  1. You can monetize your blog sooner than you would if you created your own products from scratch.
  2. You can learn what types of products your audience is clamoring for, reducing the risk of any future product launch of your own.
  3. You can get your readers used to the idea of buying from you — and increase their level of trust (as long as you pick the right products and services to sell).

All pretty significant advantages to you as a growing blogger.

But that’s not all. There are additional benefits to affiliate marketing as well.

  • It’s easy to implement. You share a link with your readers and that’s it. You don’t have to worry about tracking sales, providing customer service, setting up payments, or anything else. All that support is handled by the merchant.
  • It doesn’t require you to have a support team in place. Affiliate marketing is completely doable even if you’re a one-person show.
  • It doesn’t require specialized expertise. You don’t have to be a world-renowned expert in your niche. You only need to be familiar enough with your topic area to know what products are good and worth recommending to your audience.
  • It’s low-effort and low-risk. While affiliate marketing isn’t exactly passive income, it doesn’t require a significant time or money investment on your part.

Sounds pretty good in theory, right? Let’s see if affiliate marketing is right for you. (learn more from links above)

3 simple seo tips to boost your site to the top of google

(post by Zac Johnson)

Still not ranking at the top of the search results for your most sought after keywords and search phrases? Don’t worry… you aren’t alone. In fact, hundred of millions of sites will never even rank on the first for some of their best keywords… and at the end of the day, it really all comes down to a numbers game and where you are focusing your efforts.

I love creating websites. I love creating content, and I also love SEO and ranking in the search results. Once you know how to create excellent content that not only provides value and ranks in Google, you are golden. The problem is, most people already know the basics of how to rank a website… they just aren’t willing to put in the time, work and effort.

To help with this process, I’ve laid out three simple and completely actionable SEO tips that you can implement today. If you actually take the time to implement these methods and best practices into your site, there is no reason why you shouldn’t see much better SEO rankings in 2017.

1 – Secure Your Personal Name as a Domain

If you don’t already have a website or blog in place, your domain name is going to play a huge importance for the overall success and branding for your site. Granted, you can start a site with the most random domain name ever and still find success, but when you have a great one, there is a lot more value and branding that will come out of it.

When talking about domain names, it’s also important to talk about how they can effect the over SEO success of your site as well. One of the easiest and most immediate things you can do to give you a slight edge in the search results is to have a great domain name. A great example of this would be if you had a keyword in your domain name and continually linked back to your site with its URL as the anchor text. Continual mentions of your domain name (as the keyword and anchor) would help you rank for that term as well, while also look natural to Google at the same time.

This, of course, is easier said than done, as nearly all generic domain names will be taken already. This means the only way for you to get around this is to get extremely niche, be creative or go with your personal name — which I highly recommend you grab before someone else does as well.

Google and other SEO experts will say an exact match domain name has little-to-no effect on the actual rankings of your site in Google, but I still feel there is some SEO value, and definitely an added value when you factor in branding. When registering a domain name, try to stick with a .com, .net or .org… but also know there are other options around if all of the previous options are already taken.

In the screenshot below, taken from LCN’s domain registration interface, you can see how some domain name registration services will actually provide you with a list of domain names available, then other alternatives based on the niche or category of your domain.

Don’t forget… if you don’t currently have your personal name registered as a domain, I would check right now to see if it’s available. Even if the .com or .net variation is taken, grab whatever else you can! It’s only a matter of time before someone else who shares your name does.

It’s also important to note that you should stay away from any registered trademarks, company or celebrity names when registering a domain. Sure, they can be a great help for branding and SEO, but they could also get you in trouble in the process. The last thing you want is to register a domain, start a new site and then have someone come after you legally to regain control over a copyright/trademark issue and leave you with nothing.

2 – Write Longer and More Detailed Content

At its core, blogging and SEO are all about content creation. If you want to rank higher in the search results, you are going to need to provide the best content and value possible. After all, Google always wanted to rank the best content at the top of their search results, otherwise, no one would use their search engine.

I recently had the opportunity to interview Mike Salvaggio about the what it takes to rank in Google today. Being the CEO and founder of SEOBrand, his digital marketing agency works with numerous brands and websites and knows what it takes to rank in Google today.

Here are a few takeaways from our interview.

  • Longer content is going to outperform shorter content. This is just the way Google now works these days. 500-word articles used to be the standard, but now it’s more like 1,000-2,000. If you take a look at the top ranking sites across Google, you will commonly find they are extremely in-depth in words, content, and images.
  • In addition to longer and more detailed content, it’s also important to have the right mix of images, video, and resource (outbound links) within your content. Again, this all goes back to the concept of providing as much value as possible.
  • Backlinks are quickly becoming the most important SEO asset to nearly every website and brand online. While this is true, it’s important to still make sure the links that are coming back to your site actually serve a purpose. When you have high-quality content and resources that are worth referencing, it will be that much easier to gain new and unexpected backlinks from different sources.
  • Lastly, don’t forget to use the proper site formatting (H1, H2) and image tags within your content. Yes, content is important but also make sure the content is laid out properly for both Google and your audience is also key to ranking in 2017.

In addition to the key takeaways mentioned above, SearchEngineLand also came out with their own reference guide full of articles, case studies and reports to further prove longer content simply ranks better.

3 – Use Mobile Optimization and Site Speed Tests

In the early days of the internet, if your site ranked at the top of Google, it was great! At the same time, it was still kind of hard to understand why your site is ranking where it was, how to improve it and also other key elements of your site that can be improved upon that could also affect your rankings. This is mainly because back in the mid-90s and early 2000s, ranking in Google was purely about anchor text and how many links were pointing back to your site. Now it’s all about content, user experience, value and the actual structure of your site.

Two excellent ways to improve the core of your site and make sure it has what it takes to rank against the competition is a website speed test and mobile optimization test. Should you fail or receive a low grade in either of these tests, it can dramatically affect where your site is ranking in Google.

After running each of these site performance tests, I also recommend you run a full site audit, as this will help with the actual structure and content of your site. Be sure to continue to run new performance tests after you make changes to your site, as it will update with a new score and let you know which improvements can still be made.

Actionable Tips to Rank Your Site Higher in 2017

I’ve highlighted three simple and actionable SEO tips to start helping your site rank higher in Google today. The most important thing for you to remember is that you and your website are against a world of competition when it coming to ranking in Google. The more niche specific you get with your content and search keywords, the more likely you are to find success.

Follow the steps I laid out for you above, then also run each of the site performance reports I mentioned as well. Most websites and brands will get lazy with their content creation, SEO efforts and also make sure their sites are fully optimized and good in the eyes of Google. The more often you make these updates and changes, the better off your SEO will be.

Earl Nightingale The Strangest Secret

<< I’d like to tell you about The Strangest Secret in the World (By Earl Nightingale) >>

The late Nobel prize-winning Dr. Albert Schweitzer was once asked, “Doctor, what is wrong with men today?”
The great doctor was silent a moment, and then he said, “Men simply do not think!”
It is about this that I want to talk with you.

We live today in a golden age. This is an era that humanity has looked forward to, dreamed of, and worked toward for thousands of years. But since it is here we pretty well take it for granted. We are fortunate to live in the richest era that ever existed on the face of the earth. A land of abundant opportunity for everyone. But do you know what happens?

Lets take 100 individuals who start even at the age of 25.
Do you have any idea what will happen to those men and women by the time they are 65?

These 100 people, who all stat even at the age of 25, all believe they’re going to be successful. If you ask any one of them if they want to be a success they would tell you they did. You would notice that they are eager toward life, there is a certain sparkle in their eye, an erectness to their carriage. Life seems like a pretty interesting adventure to them.

But by the time they are 65, only one will be rich,
four will be financially independent,
41 will still be working,
and 54 will be broke – depending on others for life’s necessities.

Now think a moment: Out of the 100, only five make the grade!

Why do so many fail?
What has happened to the sparkle that was there when they were 25?
What has become of their dreams, their hopes, their plans?
Why is there such a large disparity between what these people intended to do and what they actually accomplished?

The Pareto principle (also known as the 80/20 rule, the law of the vital few, or the principle of factor sparsity) states that, for many events, roughly 80% of the effects come from 20% of the causes. … Pareto developed both concepts in the context of the distribution of income and wealth among the population.
