We’ve all read stories about people taking too long to make decisions and find that, regrettably, opportunities have been lost. Most of them relate to their personal lives e.g. If only they’d bought something when it was on sale, If only they’d asked her out before she started dating their best friend, If only they’d told someone how much they loved them, before it was too late. We must also remember that this can and often does apply in business.
I want to be clear, I’m not talking about missed opportunities. It’s not worth dwelling on what might have been, that type of regret can eat away at you. Atari founder Nolan Bushnell turned down an opportunity to invest $50,000 in seed money in Apple. Had Bushnell said yes, he would have owned a third of Apple, a company that is today valued at about $480 billion. That’s a missed opportunity.
What I’m talking about is knowing you should take action and for whatever reason, you just keep putting it off. In business, this may concern reinventing your company, whether it be a branding, reacting to new competition, refining operations, installing up-to-date technology or recognizing an untapped market. It’s especially tempting to stall when your company is at the maturity stage and enjoying success.
There are many excuses for doing this. Perhaps it feels more comfortable to stick with certain employees, perhaps you’d rather not spend money on marketing or you feel you might just be making changes for changes sake. Whatever the reason, it’s good to re-evaluate, from time-to-time.
You don’t want your company to be pushed out of the market by one that is hungrier and ready to be innovative. You can’t afford to let your business stagnate as this will affect your image not only with your customers, but also with employees who value a challenge and have the energy to move the company forward.
Of course, in order to take the right action, a company needs foresight and employees need to be encouraged to share ideas and be asked for input, on a regular basis. If, however your company is open to this idea, you must be prepared to act. Otherwise those same employees may feel their input isn’t valued and you could miss out on an idea that could be transformative in boosting efficiency, sales or several other areas of operation. << Things couldn’t get any worse …
My husband and I just had our first nasty fight.
It was over money.
And it all started with a click of a button.
I got seduced, lured and taken advantage of.
It was a work from home opportunity offering fast and easy
cash just by filling out surveys.
How hard can that be?
Besides, it was only for $30 bucks.

Not to mention the hours I spent in front of the PC instead
of taking care of my kids.
Now, I don’t know about you but that wasn’t my idea of fast
But I wasn’t giving up.
Sure, that must have been just a minor setback.
So I scoured the internet (yet again) for something to stop
Data entry, mystery shopping, writing novels for kindle …
just to earn a little extra on the side.
And in the process …
I spent $1000 that I didn’t have on credit card debt …

So today, I’m going to go a little bit deeper than usual, and share some advice I wish someone had taught me when I was first starting out. If you want to do well in this business, here’s what you’re going to need (if you want to make money online or to be successful entrepreneur). It’s condensed text (like reader’s digest) of what John Chow shares with his bloggers (I attended John Chow’s training on Titanium MasterMind in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, 2015).

Here are these 6 Tips (Golden Rules):
Discipline is doing the essential things every day in your business, even when you don’t feel like doing them. There’ll always be a part of you that will want to take a break and go do something else.
Perhaps you currently have a job and you work full time. You get home late at night, and you’re tired. Do you decide to veg out in front of the TV and watch your favorite show, telling yourself you deserve to rest after the long day? Or, do you sit down in front of your computer and place that extra ad, knowing it could lead to your next big sale and help you quit that job once and for all to pursue your dreams?
In that moment, it might seem like an inconsequential decision to remain in front of the TV. “What’s the big deal?” you might ask yourself, “it’s only one night off.” Yet those nights off soon add up, and turn into months, and then years. I have countless friends tell me they planned to start a blog shortly after I started my blog over ten years ago. To this very day, I am still waiting to see their blogs.
Every time you make the right decision and take the necessary actions to build your business, even when you don’t feel like doing them, you give yourself power. Where you are one year from today, will be the sum total of all those minor decisions you make every day here on out. Make sure you’re making the right ones, and have the discipline to stick to it.
No one ever became successful without having critics along the way. The only way to guarantee you’ll never have critics, is to accomplish nothing. Many people in life seem happy to do this. You should expect to have people be skeptical of, scoff at, be negative at, laugh at, and even ridicule what you’re now doing. Pay them no attention.
There are people out there who love to observe from the sidelines of life and criticize the players in life instead of getting in the game themselves. It’s easier for them that way. No one ever remembers these people, and they never accomplish anything significant.
What you’re doing right now is taking a stand for your own financial future, and trying something that most never will. You’ll have people around you say that internet marketing doesn’t work, it’s a scam, that ‘if it’s so easy, then everyone would be doing it,’ etc. When I first started my online business I had people laugh at what I was doing, or tell me I was being scammed. I assure you, they are no longer laughing.
Instead of focusing on the critics, ignore them and surround yourself with other people who are on the same path as you. If you don’t know any other entrepreneurs, then get to seminars and meet them. (press the image to find your team)
However, I don’t believe knowledge by itself has any value.
I only believe applied knowledge has value.
It makes no sense to fill your head with more and more theory if you’re not also taking action along the way. The best advice I can give you here, is that for every one hour you spend learning something, go spend three hours actually doing it.
I remember when I started out, and I began to get very impatient with the process. Especially when people who were newer to the business would get started, who knew much less than I did, yet were still making sales. To be honest, that was infuriating.
I wondered why it was taking me so much longer. And yes, there were times when I started to doubt myself and whether I’d ever be successful in this business. There were times when I’d lay in bed at night, staring up at the ceiling unable to sleep, thinking about all the money I’d spent and being frustrated at my lack of results.
But no matter what, I always returned to a position of having faith that things would work out.
When you’re first starting out in this industry, it’s easy to get caught up in what everyone else is doing. It’s easy to attend webinar after webinar, watch video after video, read blog post after blog post, and be constantly consuming everyone else’s marketing.
The problem with this is you become overwhelmed with information very quickly, and also begin to feel depressed about how little you’re doing. To avoid taking action, you procrastinate through continuing to look at everyone else’s marketing. More time passes, and you begin to feel worse. Before you know it, months have passed you by and you still haven’t made any money.
Don’t let this happen to you.
Each day you must focus first on producing your own marketing, before you give your attention to anyone else’s. Spend the first hour of your day placing your own ads and/or creating content that promotes you and your business.
The opportunity you have in front of you right now is unprecedented. It’s entirely possible that one year from now, you will have a completely different life.
A life with no debt, and where money is no longer a worry. A life where you get to choose how much you want to work each day. A life where traveling to exotic places is something you experience every few months. In other words,
But, and it’s a big but, it’s going to require you learn some new skills, and more importantly, that you consistently and persistently implement them. It will take time (probably more than you think) and money (again, probably more than think).

How to “lure” in whale-like commissions…
I found that when many people growing their online business have problems in getting steady sales, it’s often because they’re casting too wide of a net.
They’re trying to hook too many clients instead of narrowing down to the more specific market.
Think of it this way…
You go fishing, and you have your tools.
Your Rod and Reel.
Then you find a spot where you know the fish are biting. So, you thread the line with a hook and then cast it out into the water.
Will you catch any fish? Maybe, but it’s not likely! Why?
There’s still a next step.
You’ve got to consider which fish you want to catch, and if that type of fish is in those waters. If not, you go to where they’re at.
Next, you put on the hook the best bait that the fish are *currently* biting on.
Could be worms, minnows, crickets, chicken livers, you know, all that sexy stuff…

You can’t just throw a generic hook out in the waters and expect to attract any buyers.
You have to find out what waters these buyers are in, and then appeal to them, attract them by offering better looking more alluring bait then the other guy.
Do that, and you’re golden.
